THINKING THE UNTHINKABLE: MAYBE IT'S TIME TO CONSIDER AN ALTERNATIVE TO OBAMA IN 2012?

It's a bit hard to fathom, but following in the wake of the recent pile-up of scathing reviews of Obama's performance by New York Times' columnists Paul Krugman and Frank Rich (DON'T MISS yesterday's colum "All The President's Captors"), a prominent African American scholar at Stanford University is now asking this question in today's Huff Po.

Clarence B. Jones is "the former personal counsel, adviser, draft speech writer and close friend of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He is a Scholar in Residence at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute at Stanford University. His personal, insider's account of the 1963 March On Washington, Behind The Dream: The Making of the Speech that Transformed a Nation, will be released January 2011 from Palgrave Macmillan."

What do YOU think? Is the President a pansy, trying to continue to negotiate in public? Or are you still behind the President?
